What’s Brewing in Orinda

At CreekHaus, Equator Coffees is part of a larger vision to create a place that brings people together throughout the day, anchored in community, care, and a shared sense of purpose. This partnership reflects a commitment to thoughtful design, responsible sourcing, and experiences that feel both meaningful and accessible.

A Modern Relay Station

The design for Equator Coffees at CreekHaus draws from Orinda’s legacy as a point of passage, reinterpreting the café as a modern relay station. As the space continues to evolve, it will become a platform for gathering, collaboration, and local engagement, shaped as much by the people who visit as by the ideas behind it.

References to the Pony Express can be found throughout the space. Natural stone, live-edge wood, and leather elements that echo the textures of the rider's path through the surrounding landscape. The space is organized as a sequence of moments, from an active, forward-facing entry to more settled communal areas beyond, allowing guests to move easily between brief visits and longer stays.
